· About the Euro Info-Center

The Euro Info Center (EICC) of the Agency for the Promotion of Industry is part of the European network managed by the Enterprise General Management of the European Commission:

Over 250 EICs are located in most regions of the European Economic Space (EES) and in certain countries that are candidates for entry into the European Union, as well as 20 EIC Correspondents (EICC) located in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe and in the Mediterranean zone
The EICC is above all an information and assistance center for enterprises on the major issues relative to the European Union.

The EIC vocation is as well to advise the European Commission on the expectations of enterprises vis-à-vis community regulations as well as the difficulties that enterprises encounter within the European Union market (insidious obstacles to the free circulation of their merchandise or service, national or regional technical regulations, unfair competition…).

To better respond to the needs of enterprises, with in-depth knowledge and understanding of their business environment, the EIC network is decentralized maintaining close proximity with its constituency.

The EICC of Tunis is qualified to respond to the demands of enterprises throughout the Tunisian territory and to European enterprises that are seeking information about the Tunisian economic and business environment.

· Euro Info Centers Network

At the service of enterprises, Euro Info Centers serve as the interface between European Union Institutions and enterprises.

Euro Info Centers are located close to the enterprises to offer them easier access to the opportunities offered by Europe and to help prepare them for the important steps and challenges of their integration such as the adopting of the Euro, e-commerce, the expansion of the Union, etc..

Specializing in SMEs, Euro Info Centers have European expertise on a wide range of subject relative to enterprises.

Their goal is to inform, to counsel and to assist the enterprises with all community matters while taking into account the individual characteristics of each enterprise. The Euro Info Centers do not limit their proposals for assistance to their own resources and competence, but orient the enterprise towards other networks or specialized organizations when a particular assistance is required.

The goal of the daily collaboration with other intermediaries is to make the life of the enterprise simpler and more efficient.

The organization of the Euro Info Center Network

The Euro Info Centers are veritable co-enterprises linking, through a contractual basis, the local organizations and the European Commission (Enterprise General Management).
Their common objective is to support enterprises.
