for technical centers serving industry
Mandate of these centers
The centers carry out their mandate as outlined
in their statues, but also the following
activities:
collection and
dissemination of technical, industrial and
commercial information and statistics as well as
elaboration of the technical and economic
studies inherent to industrial activities
inventory of all
national resources in raw materials (in
cooperation with all national research
institutions) and study of the characters of
these resources with a view to using them
assistance to
industrialists to modernize production methods,
improve technology and master quality
contribution to
the establishment of norms and assistance to
industrialists to apply them
coordination
with specialized centers for vocational training
initiatives in line with the needs of the
industrial sector
assistance to
businesses to help them improve use of their
technical and human production potential, by
orienting them toward development of new
products and establishment of appropriate
investment programs
creation of
analysis and trial laboratories to provide the
expertise needed by industry
participation in
the elaboration of specifications for the
profession
